5 ways to decorate with Pinecones

Hello Decor Friends,

Pinecones can be a delightful addition to your holiday decor. Today I wanted to share with you my top 5 ways to utilize the lowly pinecone in your holiday and winter decor. Pinecones come in all shapes, sizes and colors. They can easily be sprayed with a little glitter, a little snow or a different color all together. The texture of the pinecone brings a wonderful organic look to any home.

Here are the top five ways to use them during the holiday season:

  1. Pinecone Ornaments: Transform pinecones into ornaments by adding festive strings or ribbons to the top. You can leave them natural or paint them in seasonal colors like gold, silver, or red for a festive touch.

  2. Pinecone Garland: String pinecones together with twine or ribbon to create a beautiful and natural garland. Hang it on your Christmas tree, staircase, or fireplace mantel to infuse a rustic charm into your holiday decor.

  3. Pinecone Centerpieces: Arrange pinecones in a decorative bowl or tray, and pair them with candles, holly, or cranberries to create an elegant holiday centerpiece for your dining table or coffee table.

  4. Pinecone Wreaths: Craft a stunning holiday wreath by hot-gluing pinecones onto a circular base, and embellish it with faux berries, ornaments, or a festive bow. Hang it on your front door or above the fireplace to welcome guests with a warm and inviting touch.

  5. Pinecone Place Settings: Use pinecones as place card holders by attaching small cards with guests' names to them using decorative ribbons or twine. Place these on your holiday dinner table to add a natural and charming element to your table setting.

I can’t wait to see how you use pinecones in your holiday decor this year. Be sure to send me a pic or tag me on your socials so I can see what you create.
