Do You Have a Pumpkin Color Story

Hello Decor Friends,

The season is changing here in our little neck of the woods, cooler temps have arrived (at least in the morning) and the leaves are showing their seasonal splendor.

Today, I wanted to inspire you with unique color stories incorporating pumpkins and gourds into your fall decor. The tried and true orange is a gorgeous pop of sunny color, but if you prefer a more natural look or perhaps want to try adding color filled pumpkins such as dark blue into your decor this season, these inspirations will not disappoint.

Designer Tips

#1. Remember a color story should reflect you. When adding seasonal decor, the pieces act as a supporting role. highlighting your room, which takes the lead role in your homes story. You want your supporting actors to honor and elevate the space you’re decorating. Soft hues of the Cinderella pumpkins, the golden glow of oranges and terra-cotta the rich blues of plush, velvet pumpkins and the ghostly white pumpkins of the season offer you so many opportunities to use pumpkins your way.

#2. Don’t be afraid to mix textures and materials. Velvets and earthy twigs makes stunning combination. Twine and burlap, the perfect parenting. Metallic and monochromatic colors are a dynamite duo. Try a new combo if your fall decor. You will be delighted with the results.
